We use modern study materials, books, tapes and newspapers, etc. that are stimulating and relevant.
Our aims are to help you to develop key skills in the correct use of English for reading, writing, speaking and listening.
Our standard general English language courses follow an easy format of 15 x 1 hour lessons per week plus optional additional practive and home study.
General English course objectives
- Our English language courses will help students to develop an natural and accurate style of English pronunciation.
- Kingsmore English courses will improve your ability to understand and use vocabulary and expressions common to everyday life.
- Our English language courses will also improve your ability to express ideas clearly and confidently in English in work- and social situations.
- When you study English with Kingsmore International you will improve your understanding of key aspects of English grammar, structures and rules.
General English course format
Lessons take place between 9.30am to 1pm and 2pm to 4pm.
Standard English courses follow 15 x 1 hour lessons per week plus optional additional supervised practice of 5 hours per week in our multimedia room.
Intensive general English language courses consist of 25 x 1 hour classes per week.
General English courses start dates
General English language courses start every Monday throughout the year (except Christmas and UK statutory holidays). You can start a course at any time during the year. Subject to a minimum of 1 week you can study English for any number of weeks duration to meet your learning objectives.
Additional general English course information
- All students must be at least 18 years or older.
- Students study English in small groups of maximum 8 students.
- Each English language lesson is an independent unit - build an English course that suits your needs! One week, one month... or more!
- All students are allocated to an English course suitable for their level.
A flexible range of course options
Combine General English language courses with courses in business English, legal English, medical English or vocational courses in business computing and business presentations!
You can also complement your English course by studying for an internationally recognised certificate such as Cambridge ESOL, TOEIC, IELTS or TOEFL.
