English combined with golf is a unique package offered by Kingsmore International and allows students to study English whilst practicing their favourite game.
Course format
The English with golf course consists of 3 x 1 hour per day lessons Monday to Friday and golf in the afternoon at least two times per week or more if desired. This course is only available from March until the end of October each year due to weather conditions.
Playing golf
Students will be able to play golf in 2, 3 or 4 ball groups, depending on their handicap and number of other students currently taking the English with golf course. Kingsmore will arrange the tee off times with various different golf courses so you will get to experience different courses in different settings throughout the area. Transport can also be arranged if desired.
Do I need to bring my own golf equipment?
Some of our students feel more comfortable bringing their own golf clubs but this is optional. If you have golf shoes and a glove we advise you to bring these. Kingsmore International can arrange rental golf clubs for both men and women, including use of a trolley or even an electric golf cart.
Golf lessons
For those who wish to improve their game, or those that are completely new to golf, Kingsmore offers golf lessons by a certified professional every afternoon. You do not need to own or bring any equipment, a dedicated golf professional will make sure you are supplied with all the gear you need. You will learn important techniques such as putting, driving, chipping and of course golf course etiquette. Our golf professionals are able to teach students of all levels and ages and taking golf lessons is an excellent way to progress with your golf game quickly and effectively.
A range of golf courses
Bournemouth is located near the beach with plenty of green areas covering the town.
There are several golf courses in Bournemouth and even more just outside in neighbouring Poole, Christchurch and further in Dorset.
Meyrick Park Golf Club, close to Kingsmore International is over 100 years old and was the first community golf course built in England.
Its holes stretch out over a stunning area with pine trees and steep hills and valleys.
It is a challenging course with many surprises and never a dull moment.
For those who like more open terrain there is the Iford Golf Centre, which boasts a full 18 hole and a 9 hole and also a large all-weather driving range which is even open during the evenings.
How about a course with stunning views over the English channel, Christchurch harbour and the Isle of Wright?
Other golf courses include Queen's Park, another favourite amongst seasoned golfers and Canford Magna, which features not one, but two 18 hole golf courses, a 9 hole and a 3 hole course.
